Industrial sites in Kitakyushu are more reasonable in price than Kanto, Kansai or Chubu , and are adjacent to ports, airports, and express highways, demonstrating superiority in logistics. Consequently, speedy transport is available to Asian countries, including China and Korea, as well as domestically in Japan.
This is an area where land reclamation (2,000 ha) has created an integrated industrial park with large port facilities. The area is also greatly expected by Kitakyushu to become a new industrial area. Currently, a 15 m deep-water berth and access roads are being established based on the framework of the Hibikinada Hub Port. Furthermore, due to the historical and geographical advantages of being the most adjacent port to Asia including China and Korea, it is the most suitable area for production/trade bases targeting Asia.
